The Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute is managed by a trust board headed by a Managing Trustee and Chairman.

Details of Managing Trustee & Chairman and Trust Board members are as follows:

Sri Nandamuri Balakrishna – Managing Trustee and Chairman

Sri Nandamuri Balakrishna is a leading cine artist of south Indian cinema. Son of legendary Late Sri Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Balakrishna is popularly known as Balayya and NBK by his huge number of fans and admirers. An actor from child hood, Sri Balakrishna is associated with several philanthropic and social organisations activities. As chairman of the trust board, his mission to fulfill his parent's vision to create a world class cancer facility providing affordable cancer care to all cancer patients.

Sri Nama Nageswara Rao – Member, Trust Board

Nageswara Rao was born in Balapala Village in Warangal Dist. NAMA; entered politics with a view to introduce ethical values and practices which he already inculcated in his business enterprises. Having succeeded as an entrepreneur and business man, he entered politics with the. He was elected to the Lok Sabha (Lower House of Parliament) in parliamentary elections. As a trustee, he is guiding the Institute to provide better & affordable medical care to cancer patients.

Dr. Gaddam Dasaratha Rami Reddy – Member, Trust Board

Dr. Gaddam Dasaratha Rama Reddy, a pediatrician Cardiologist is a physician who has chosen to specialize in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease and defects of the heart and circulatory system. With his vast experience, he is guiding the hospital to acquire latest medical knowledge / facilities.

Dr. MVVS Murthi – Member, Trust Board

Dr. MVVS Murthi, a PhD in economics and a Degree in law is known for his interest in industrialization of Andhra Pradesh. He established several business enterprises and also headed Andhra Pradesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 1980. Dr. Murthi a leading educationist and has promoted several educational institutions includes GITAM University in Andhra Pradesh. He is also associated with several NGO's & Charitable Organisations. As a founder trustee, Dr. Murthi has guided the Institute to its present heights.

Sri J.S.R Prasad – Member, Trust Board

Sri J. Siva Rama Prasad a Chartered Accountant by profession with 20 years of experience has been a Director of Kakatiya Cement Sugar & Industries Limited and is a Director in several business enterprises. With his vast administrative and financial experiences, he is guiding the Institute in financial planning and administrative matters.

Dr. Kodela Siva Prasada Rao – Member, Trust Board

Dr. Kodela Siva Prasada Rao a leading surgeon from Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh, was a Member of Legislative Assembly from Narasarao Pet from 1983 to 2004. During this period, Dr. Kodela also held several ministerial positions in the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. As Founder and past chairman of the Institute, Dr. Kodela since its inception of the Institute has taken keen interest in its development and guided to its present level.

Dr. Tulasi D. Polavarapu – Member, Trust Board

Dr. Tulasi D. Polavarapu a leading Gynaecologist & Obstetrics practicing in New York for last 30 years. She helped to establish this world class cancer care facility by mobilizing funds from several philanthropists and medical professionals in USA & India. As President of Indo American Cancer Organisation, Dr. Polavarapu has always been guiding the Institute since its inception till date.

Dr. Raghava Rao. Polavarapu – Member, Trust Board

Dr. Raghava Polavarapu practices orthopedic surgery in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Polavarapu graduated with an MD 45 years ago.

Dr. Dattatreyudu Nori – Member, Trust Board

Dr Nori is a non-resident Indian and internationally renowned Oncologist. He is presently the Chairman, Dept of Radiation Oncology. The New York Presbyterian Hospital, the Joan and Sanford Well Medical College and Graduate School of Medical Sciences of Cornell University, The New York Hospital Medical Centre of Queens Westchester Square Medical Centre. The Institute received immense benefit from his expertise in cancer treatment. Patients look forward to his yearly visits to this Institute to benefit from his experience and expertise.
