Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT)

This faculty comprises both surgical and medical treatment of conditions of the ears, nose, throat, head and neck and includes treatment modalities like:

• Tumors of the nose and sinuses

• Tumors of the throat and larynx

• Swelling of the neck

• Cysts

• Thyroid disorders

• Tumors (cancerous and non-cancerous) of lymph and salivary glands.


Symptoms of cancerous (malignant) lumps or growths may include:

• Cancerous lumps or tumors tend to be painless and enlarge progressively

• persistent pain in throat and difficulty swallowing food and liquids

• Growth or swellings or ulcers in the mouth, that are painless at the beginning

• continual loss or change in the voice/roughness, for more than several weeks

• bleeding in the mouth and throat

• constant ear pain particularly when swallowing

• changes in the facial skin

Most of the above symptoms are related with less serious problems also.
